hey dude great animation, i know about after effects. im a new freelance illustratior i would like know wich software is good for animation?
Hello, it depends on your drawing style and what you want to achieve in the look, I like after effects for working with photo's and video footage, simple graphic styles suit flash, toon boom, and cell action.
'Cell action' can work vector based or with photoshop files (useful if you like lots of detail and don't mind a cut-out style - my series 'Little princess' uses this cell action. To start with try flash or toon boom as they are quite quick to learn and fairly cheap to get.
3d software is pretty expensive and hard to learn - not so good for an illustrator, i would have thought.
